Free tools need no auth. Pro tools accept any of three: an OAuth 2.0 bearer token (recommended), an X-API-Key header, or an api_key parameter.
60 requests/min for free traffic, 240/min for Pro, per IP. Pro plans carry a generous monthly fair-use limit; cached results never count.
All data is sourced from public US-government datasets: FEMA (flood + National Risk Index), USGS (seismic), USDA Forest Service (wildfire), NCES via the Urban Institute Education Data Portal (ODC-By 1.0), and the US Census Bureau (ACS). Informational only — not an official flood determination, survey, or insurance/lending/housing-eligibility decision. Pythia is independent and not endorsed by any agency; this product uses the Census Bureau Data API but is not endorsed or certified by the Census Bureau.
